Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe the music you make?
We would describe our music in a loud, professorial voice, while holding cocktails and gesturing thoughtfully as beautiful women and their envious men stood nearby in rapt attention.

What inspired you guys to form a band?
Mainly, the fear of working real jobs. I mean, have you worked a real job? It’s awful. People keep giving you things to do, and it’s never something like, “Hey – try these four types of tiramisu by 3:00 and tell us which one is best.” Also, each of us kept trying to join other, very famous bands, only to be told they had no current openings.

If you could have dinner with any person from history, who would it be?
We had a long discussion about how to answer this question, and we just couldn’t agree. It got pretty heated, actually. Anyway, our collective answer is President Zachary Taylor – not because any of us originally selected him, but because he seemed to embody a suitable compromise, a sort of “happy medium” among all the other names thrown out there.

Which U.S. state is poised to become the next fashionable baby name?
Texas, but spelled like this: Texass.

What is the difference between a nut and a legume?
Evidently, a nut only contains one seed, while a legume contains multiple seeds. That’s all well and good, but does that information really help you? No, right? Also, nuts must be cracked open, while legumes burst open on their own. That’s exactly the phrase used on a website we found: “burst open.” In conclusion, we don’t recommend you become too educated on this subject or you run the risk of becoming one of those people who correct others and point out that peanuts are actually legumes, and those people are intolerable.
